Our first professional steps began in the 80s, with our activity in the pharmaceutical industry. We have developed a pharmacy management program with a built-in drug list for easy prescription and sales execution.

Due to its innovation, it was an important step for the pharmaceutical industry, but also for us, as it laid the foundation for our successful course in the field of application development. We were lucky enough to have our experience and capabilities recognized by major Dutch importer of meat, who encouraged us to design a specialized application for the meat industry. So, we were led, in our escalating engagement with the food industry and especially with the meat sector, a sector with high demands and standards. By offering innovative solutions, for that time, we began to establish ourselves in the field. We owe deep appreciation to the professional who introduced us and specialized us in this field, to this today.

That’s when our strategic and long-term partnerships with the ASTIR Chocolate Industry, CALPAK – solar systems and FLORIDIS specialized in meat processing began. These companies stood out for their pioneering spirit, with many innovations at that time such as batch management, electronic transmission of orders via modem, production costing, general accounting with EGLS.

In the 90s, taking advantage of all the technological changes of the time – Windows began to enter the workplace, replacing DOS applications and the Internet made its entrance, marking an era of rapid transformation in the programming world – we delved even deeper into meat industry. Earning thus, the name “the experts” in the field.

At the same time, we managed to enter a new industry, developing programs and applications for vertical car units. So we were basically the only ones who provided solutions to vertical markets for food, medicine, cars.

In early 2000, Biztec was founded, transforming the business need in the field of Business and Technology into one corporate entity. Biztec started operating with an excellent team of specialists from its brand new offices in Psychiko, expanding its activities in the development of technological ERP solutions in Windows environment.

The ERP was named “Odysseus”, inspired by the multidimensional functionality of the resourceful Odysseus of antiquity. Following the same philosophy of ingenuity, the product aimed to offer flexible solutions to solve a multitude of operational problems.

In 2007, BIZERBA HELLAS was established, which marked for us the beginning of a valuable collaboration. This collaboration presented us with the opportunity, through direct information from the production sectors, to develop the Odysseus Traceability and Odysseus Stater software, now proven, for how functional and necessary they are to this day. Applications that we are constantly developing with vigour.

Despite the challenges brought about by the economic crisis, which began in 2008, the company demonstrated stability, as the services provided maintained their value while remaining in constant demand. From the year 2014, the company entered a new phase of development and renewal, with its positive course lasting until now. We officially relocated to our new modern offices in Athens in 2019, where we are still located today.

With our relocation to our new offices, with the development of new technologies and programs, with new strong partnerships as well as with our expansion into new markets, we continue to evolve and set high goals. After all, our most important goal is the progress of our customers. It is our responsibility and commitment to promote new technological best practices that will set them apart from the competition.

If I had to sum up the essence of Biztec in a few sentences, I would emphasize our pioneering position in the field of programming systems. Requirements:

  • Translate business requirements into ERP functional and configuration requirements.
  • Participate in analyzing customer needs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Liaise with the R&D department for developing custom solution components when required.
  • Provide ongoing support to our growing customer base of Pylon ERP software implementations.
  • Manage testing and documenting of the ERP software configuration.
